Having a luxury cottage in the heart of West Cork allows you to do as much – or as little – as you want.
We have nine cottages, three treehouses and three eco-lodges for couples in Ireland at present. Courtyard Cottages 1 and 2 and The Barn are situated in the courtyard of our Georgian country house (called Grove House) on the outskirts of Skibbereen. The Treehouses sit in the small wood in front of Grove House. Riverbank Cottage and Riverbank Barn are situated in a walled courtyard on a quiet country lane facing a meadow that slopes down to a small river. Lassanroe Cottage and Lassanroe Barn are situated in a quiet courtyard, 5 minutes drive from Skibbereen. Ilen Cottage is 2km from town in a quiet location. Newbridge Cottage and the River Lodges are situated at Newbridge, on the edge of town, 15 minutes walk along the River Ilen.
The cottages are authentic stone buildings between 150 and 200 years old and have been lovingly restored to highlight their beautiful natural features. The combination of traditional stone walls, exposed beams with colourful, contemporary decor works well and our places have often been described as ‘boutique cottages’. The Treehouses are constructed from 100% sustainable materials, heavily insulated and very ‘eco-friendly’. The River Lodges are eco-lodges which combines luxury with having a positive effect on the environment via their green roofs absorbing CO2.
