Newbridge Cottage is a new Cottages for Couples experience. Located just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Skibbereen it gives easy access to shops, bars and restaurants – all via a beautiful walk alongside the River Ilen. We describe Newbridge Cottage as the ‘ultimate chill-out cottage’. In the original 100-year old cottage you’ll find a home cinema with amazing sound, retro room where you can play your music via bluetooth, bedroom and luxury bathroom. In the newer part there’s a jacuzzi suite, kitchen/diner and lounge. There’s broadband and Netflix. Outside is a private, covered hot-tub. You won’t get views over rolling countryside but the River Ilen is 2 minutes away but what you lose on views, you make up with convenience to town. It’s fab.

Private hot-tub

For reasons of hygiene, we change the water in our hot-tubs from time to time (this is in addition to sanitising with chlorine before each guest arrival). This means that very occasionally the tub will not be up to temperature on the first day of arrival but will be fine by day two of your stay. This only apply to stays of two days or more.

Newbridge Courtesy Deposit

Our accommodation at Newbridge is the closest accommodation to the town of Skibbereen. Consequently, we have neighbours living close by. We expect our guests to respect these neighbours and other guests. ALL accommodation at Newbridge carries a €50 refundable courtesy deposit to ensure our neighbours and other guests are treated with respect.   In the event of any complaints made to us regarding unacceptable behaviour this deposit will be forfeited. You will find notices at Newbridge reminding you of your obligations.

Pricing

• • All rates are euros and are inclusive of VAT
• • Rates based on minimum 2 night stay based on two sharing.
• • There is a MINIMUM 2-NIGHT STAY in all cottages at weekends and at all times in the treehouses with the following exceptions: i) where bookings fall to leave single nights available these can be booked. ii) where there is a block of 3 available nights, a single night can be booked but not the middle night.
• • There is a minimum 2 night stay in all cottages for all dates in July, August and Septemberand at peak periods such as Valentines, post-Xmas and Easter with the same exceptions as above.
• • For one night stays there is a supplement of €30 to cover the cost of linen and cleaning which is usually spread over 2 nights.
• • Rates may change during public holidays, school holidays and certain prime dates.
